Sean Dyche

If a player made himself unavailable for selection in a vital game, meaning we had to play three at the back and Jimmy Garner had to move to right wingback then Dyche should name and shame them. Failing to do so will lead to people putting two and two together.

He should name and shame the individuals otherwise don't bring it up. Loves digging out players whilst never looking at himself this fella.

I do believe he's telling the truth like. That group was absolutely rotten and the board who allowed the club and squad to descend into such a diabolical state should never be forgiven or excused.
Probably saving all his stories and names for his autobiography when he’s retired and got nowt else to do

He probably reckons he will win a Pulitzer Prize with all his juicy stories

Sean Dyche ‘doesn’t understand’ Nottingham Forest sacking, blames ‘keyboard warriors’

Don't think we can claim credit for this one..

Money quote:

“The bigger picture with football now is it’s like selling chocolate teapots,” said Dyche. “People come out with these stories about how ‘we’re this club’. You go: ‘No, you’re not. You’ve had one good season in 30 odd.’ You’re trying to remind the fanbase — this is where the keyboard warriors get really powerful, by the way — of the truth of what it is rather than what you think it is. It’s very difficult now."

I've got my list, however, gureentee you they will play Mental Health Card, one former player did already, and was suggested his injuries in particular his last 18 months were more psychological than original physical issue.

One of the top comments under the article, from a Forest fan - the complaints sound familiar:

I know that almost every non-Forest fan loves to treat Marinakis as some kind of Bond villain, but the only person who did for Dyche… was Dyche. He is right that the stats weren’t terrible, especially during the early part of his tenure, but anyone who watched those performances vs Braga, Everton (twice), Leeds & Wolves (there were others, too) could see that to keep going was to embrace relegation. He threw players under the bus in public, he refused to play people like Luca Netz & Jair Cunha (both of whom - particularly the latter - have done well since Vitor Pereira’s arrival), and he repeatedly elected not to change things from the bench when his plans weren’t working. James McAtee had a man of the match performance in Europe… and was never seen again. Taiwo Awoniyi scored an excellent goal at Brentford….ditto.

Fans often complain about “no Plan B” when talking about managers they don’t like, but Dyche took it to a new level - as exemplified vs Everton, where Forest rained cross after cross after cross onto the head of James Tarkowski in trying to feed a forward who is 6” shorter than him. “*Ooh look, we had loads of time in the opponents’ box*!” Sure, but at no point did it look like producing a goal.

Dyche doesn’t seem to believe in Plan B; just do Plan A better. It wasn’t working.

He’s a lovely guy (& Steve Stone & Ian Woan are *bona fide* Forest legends), and we all wanted it to work. But it was visibly getting worse and the owner was 100% right to act. The subsequent performances against Fenerbahçe, Liverpool & Manchester City were chalk and cheese comparisons with Dyche’s output (even if only one of them actually produced a win). Even if Forest still go down - as they well might - removing Dyche was the right thing to do at the time.

Was he or is he a great coach? No.

Will he ever get trophy success? No.

Is he a great feller? No.

But the question that the Gaffer's haters will always try to avoid being asked is this:

'Did he save our skins for two seasons when we were on our knees when no other manager would touch us?' Yes, he certainly did.

The last line from the author in reply to Dyche’s comments is perfect

“Really? You have had a lifetime coming through an academy system and you are telling me that you do not know how to press somebody? Last week when we won 3-0, you did know how to press someone. The excuse level in football has gone through the roof.”

Some among Dyche’s biggest critics might well agree with that final sentiment.

Pure gold that. It is exactly liz truss territory blaming the 'deep state' and the 'wokeratti'.

Always everyone else's fault.

Dangerous.

Stop calling him "Gaffer"
You sound like one of his Merry Men.

Sounds you REALLY WANT it to be someone specific there :)

Id argue that works both ways though, especially with managers like him and Moyes who had full playing careers, then have completed all their coaching badges then in Moyes case 20years+ of experience but yet they refuse to budge from one tactic/setup.
