That’s some contract if he still gets his survival bonus when it’s achieved by completely different manager, because he was failing. 👏👏

Like giving Dom goal bonuses because Beto has started scoring chances he would have missed.
As always with these manager positions. Rewarded for failure.

But am i wrong in thinking his staying up bonus may have been more if he was still here but has probably been negotiated down in his severanve deal?

It is what it is. It's a survival bonus and he would argue he contributed positively not negatively to our season long survival when it happens. As fans we may argue otherwise but the fact is we were 16th when he was sacked, not in the relegation zone. If it's in the contract you've got to pay the man.
The problem is people can’t get their heads round big contracts. The money involved and the terms attached are a world away from every day people.
But that’s the market, managers operate in.

Tbh based on subsequent events I reckon Dyche would’ve probably had us on track to stay up but nowhere near as comfortably.

We were on 17 points, 1 clear of the zone when he went, and in 5 games subsequently the mark has moved all of one point. That’s how poor the other teams are.

I think in fairness Dyche probably gets us 6 points minimum over the period Moyes has 13, because Spurs and Leicester were simply awful. So we’d be on 23 minimum putting us at least 6 points clear of the mark. Even that would look relatively safe given the lack of quality below.

Obviously all this relates only to relegation- we are obviously far, far better and can aim for a much higher finish under Moyes, that’s beyond debate.

He's earned that cash.

TFG lot wouldn't even be here if Dyche hadn't have kept us up twice.

Remember that.
Clubs like Norwich Burnley WBA Bournemouth Leeds Blackburn Southampton are 'kept up'

Us Everton FC are not, staying up or even fighting to stay up is failure.

No manager in a generation has had this club relegated so lets not think he achieved anything.
