Moyes has already scored more goals from open play then dyches side did in his entire 2 years here.
It wouldn't of mattered if those decisions went our way for dyche because we still wouldnt of left our half to score a goal and would of lost regardless.
Can you please tell me what part of the 2-2 againt liverpool, 2-1 yesterday, 4-0 against Leicester, 3-2 against spurs, 1-0 against brighton we looked dychesk?
Maybe the Brighton game? But mid game injuries dictated our play there and we won.
I mean you cant take random moments and say the only difference is those moments went one way with one manager and the other with another.
A, their playing styles are completely different and b, its not like stuff didnt go dyches way that got us out of trouble. Remember Burnley? the keeper kicking the ball off DCL ass for it to loop in and be the winning goal. Then Burnley got a man sent off. That ended the 14 game winless streak and kick started the positive end of season which lead to 5 wins in 7.
As I said - when it works it's great. When it's not working it's arguably a little antiquated and ugly looking. You've helpfully pointed out the games where it's worked and the game where it clearly didn't which was the game where we've looked the most d
ychesk.
I'd say that quickly getting compact off the ball, hitting long passes and conceding the lions share of possession isn't a million miles away and we definitely still do that. We seem much, much better working on the second ball with the midfield a lot more willing to join attacks quicker but there are quite a few of the same basic building blocks. Of course there's perhaps a lot more behind the scenes and a lot could be down to better man management but tactically there really hasn't been a massive difference - just a tweak or two that's really working.
My point isn't a criticism of
Moyes or a yearning for Dycheball.
I'm merely of the opinion that though we are in good form I don't believe it will last as that is the nature of Premier League football unless you have an excellent squad. We clearly don't have an excellent squad so I'd urge a note of caution and I wouldn't be massively surprised if we hit a patchier spell and as a result look bad when those little moments start to go against us.
When that happens, and it is when not if, there will be a few who start with the unfair shouts of tactical inflexibility, predictable subs and having his undroppable favourites. All accusations that don't bother them when the side is winning.
