If it's a clean break of the tibia and the fibula, he should make a return in 6-8 months. It really depends on the amount of fragments and if the ligaments are involved.

As posted elsewhere Bale should have been off - escaped a second yellow after this one -but still nearly scored the winner.

Ireland were physical but not one challenge could be described as career threatening.

Bale and Taylor on the other hand.....

What's annoying is that tackle was so unnecessary. He needs absolutely lambasting in the media. Shawcross was hounded thanks to Wenger we need Koeman to do the same.

Yeah remember thinking at the time that could have been a bad one. Lucky either the weight wasn't planted on that leg or the tackle only 'skimmed' in contact.

I do wonder though... If the outcome of the Bale tackle was worse, and a leg was broken, would there have been a red? Do the refs give a red when the damage has been as opposed to the intent?
