im surprised he wasnt ovrlapping and running at their full back more, dunno if hes been told not too, or if he was worried bout getting caught out at the back

I genuinely feel he has had that directness we seen in his early days coached out of him.

i actually didnt think him and mirallas on the right were perfect today. from what i saw it seemed that mirallas constantly drifted inside leaving him to cover the entire right side. I think they should play mirallas in the middle and naysmith on the right, he looked to enjoy overlap'ing with coleman today. Loved seeing a different side of the pitch to relieve some pressure on baines/pienaar.

I think Mirallas should stay on the right for now but I do agree that Mirallas did leave Coleman a bit exposed at times. However I think that is Neville's #1 job, helping out the defence, which he did a decent job of today.

Coleman is one of the best learners I've seen in recent years for us. He came to us without an academy upbringing which is almost unheard of these days, and he constantly looks at ways to improve and develop his game, with noticeable results. He's got pace, aggression and believe it or not, a good tackle. He can be a fine fullback for us, I just wish Moyes would give him a real chance.

Hopefully the fact that he's played RB twice in all competitions this season is a sign for things to come.

Completely agree. I honestly think Coleman has been our most consistently improving player these last few years and he hasn't looked like slowing down (excluding the injuries).

I believe Coleman has a great future ahead of him and I can see him a mainstay in the future.

Looks a smarter player to me, also looks like he has worked on his final ball, it looked good in pre-season and it has looked good in the games he has played.

Neither full back had a lot of protection for us today. It was a concern too that we seemed to push Baines and Coleman on at the same time, leaving Jags and Heitinga to hold the fort. We do it even when Neville or Hibbo are playing right back and it's schoolboy stuff. You're right though that we have two midfield anchors, so if Coleman is going on a run Neville should be covering for him.

It might make sense to use Naismith on the right to give us balance and discipline and play Mirallas in the free role behind Jelavic. But if Fellaini is going to be used there anyway then Mirallas will start on the right ahead of the Scot.

I think Coleman did a good job today. The only time he looked in trouble were the 10 mins around the halftime signal when the whole team fell back and lost the gameplay. But he did go forth and he did get into the penaltybox when he ran forth a few times as well thereby forcing the defender to stand up and not to tackle. Hope he gets a few more nods in the near future to give him some more experience and confidence in the A-squad.

Coleman can't defend but going forward at RW/RB when healthy he's pretty good, even though everyone knows what he's going to do.

I'd rather have Hibbo at RB against teams like Arsenal and UTD but against the Villa's of the world, Coleman provides another scoring threat.

I liked Coleman and Mirrallas today. Both did well and I think at about 5 million, Kevin looks an absolute bargain. Vic got a bit narky once or twice and I wish he'd get that out of his game, because he played well and doesn't need to get distracted by nothing stuff.

Coleman's still got a lot of learning to do to play RB week in week out. As said, currently he'd get torn a new one playing at OT, emerates ect... Hopefully this season he can come in and out of the team in selected games and improve and get more experience against some lesser teams.

Time will tell but IMO I don't see him being the answer long term of a quality RB. I think we'll have to buy someone better but he could prove a quality deputy and squad player through a career with us.
