last season i would have agreed with you but this season especially since jan his crosses have been good

Maybe so. He seems to hit defenders with anything more driven though. He needs to get his head up and pick a pass before delivering. Baines on the other side is his mentor in that respect. Bainesy always looks up the moment he's knocked it passed the last defender.
 

I think there's something to be said for looking to take the ball into the box rather than crossing it, keeps the defenders on their toes. I like that we don't always expect Coleman to cross it in.

Agreed. I always think a defender is gonna take him down.

As for his crosses. Getting better. See felli's header the other week. But even Baines doesn't get it right every time.
 

Top notch performance today, defensively too.

I wasn't sure about him as a right back but he's made the position his own now. It's up to Stones or, assuming he comes back from his injury next season, Hibbert, to displace him. Even Moyes puts him above Neville, which is praise indeed.

Think Moyes is looking at Stones as a centre back in the long run.
