Seamus Coleman Calls Time On Everton Playing Career

If you cant look after your long serving players like Coleman - someone the fans think of as a legend - then you're chances of attracting decent future talent is reduced.

Straight out of the blocks on Sunday night that club should have been ahead of the game and explaining what went wrong and how they planned to put it right.

Nothing out of them since though - other than to continue to exploit the image of Coleman after having treated him like 💩.

The club's in the bin for me.

I dont like what I'm seeing at all from this new regime.

They can GTF as far as Im concerned if they cant make the Coleman situation good. It's an insult to us all not just Seamus.
Spot on.

At least he won the playoff trophy with Blackpool.

Oh and the dixie dean memorial trophy too of course .

Many great players have won nothing, and would've comfortably walked into some our League winning sides too. This fella has been unconditionally praised by every manager he's played under for his ability, attitude and commitment. A rare combination in any era, but especially so in our recent history.

I think Coleman is Fantastic, just wish he was walking away with a trophy , as the reverse of what you said is also true .

A lot of poor players not respected by anyone in the game have won trophies.

What's happened to @BullensRoad - he's turned into Oliver Cromwell all of a sudden.

I could compare your distaste to previous Everton players or managers who've won 0 trophies but you don't deserve the gratification.

I really respect the Irish for their passion and from my experience being very good people, but I don't like their OTT support of Coleman who's been captain during our turbulent period.

I do find it very disappointing you've compared me to someone who massacred (history books say "bloodshed") and took land from the Irish.

I'm surprised no one else has called you out for this.

"It was possible, hence why I brought my kids out. I didn’t want to ever miss that opportunity. I walked them out for Everton and I wanted to walk them out for Ireland. Again, you never know so I wanted to walk my kids out. I wasn’t sure at that time really and, again, I’ve got to perform in these two games and see how I feel, see where I’m at."

The guy is absolutely taking the proverbial out of us and rubbing our noses in it, he's like a John Delaney, except on the pitch.

The turd 💩 that won't flush.
