Seamus Coleman Calls Time On Everton Playing Career

I've nowt but respect for Coleman but this bizarre hero worship I'm seeing for him and the deep moral outrage that most fans didn't stay behind to applauded him is a bit much. I'm perfectly aware that he's always given his best, I'll never deny it, I expect as much, that's his job! Lets be real, he's a togger player who has made himself a millionaire off this club. He ain't some volunteer in the local hospice ffs.

And he's barely played for 5 years. If he was that humble he wouldn't have gone through with a special guard of honour never mind come on as a "farewell sub" when we're a goal down.

It does my head in he's worshipped.

I'm sure there's current and previous players who "get the club".

I hope I'm on this forum when EFC make the official announcement that due to a contractual misunderstanding the appearance of Seamus Coleman in the final home game of the season has automatically triggered a new 5 year deal, as per the terms of the existing contract found in a draw in BK's old office under what is either a squashed wagonwheel or very unfortunate mouse.

Don't rule this out.

We'll have the Kenwrighters and Irish demanding he deserves it.
