Scotty Road Camera

To be fair, it is quite well signposted that it's a 30, the 3-lane thing is confusing though

I'm fecked off to be honest - going to cost me around 60 quid this one. This government is [Poor language removed]. If I thought me going 40-55 on a 3 lane carriageway would have got me a fine I wouldn't have sped. Nobody is going to go on that road and think [Poor language removed] is this 30?

yet we have a lane near my sisters house which is well tight, and that's 60! it's ****ed up.
You will have more points than Portsmouth:( my 79 year old auntie got done there and it took over two weeks to arrive she thought she had got away with it.when I asked why she was speeding she said she was not she was keeping up with the car in front:lol:

Nick me arl spud....

It's £80 fine and 3 penulty points.

How do i know...!!

I have been done by the same camera 4 weeks ago. i have the ticket sent out 2 weeks ago. So expect one mate. it works......

Oh i was doing 41mph.

Scotty road is defo 30mph. Maybe 3 lanes but it is not an urban motorway. Best bet Ghost is just accept it and pay up.

BTW the offence will be on your licence for 3 years and could affect your insurance if future if you change as you will have to declare it, that is the other downside.

you have to inform your curent ones as soon as you get the points, they nearly voided mine when i didn't tell them and then had a minor bump, didn't relose i had to as previously 3 points didn't matter unless as you say you change insurers. had to cough up the extra backdated as well.

I may not have been doing 55. Could have been closer to 40 - 45. I just assumed it was a 50 zone and I must have been doing 55, but I was shocked that I was flashed as I didn't think I was going fast.

Some folks have no respect for the law.

I wonder if this works?

From a friend of a friend. It might be worth remembering and giving it a

go.

This has been tried and it works.

This is how it works:

If you get a speeding ticket or went through a red light or whatever the

case may be, and you are going to get points on your licence, then there
is

a method to ensure that you DO NOT get any points. When you get your
fine,

send in the cheque to pay for it and if the fine is, for example
£30. Then

make the cheque out for £31 or some small amount over the fine. The system

will then have to send you back a cheque for the difference. But here is

the trick; **DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHEQUE!!!** Throw it away!!

Points are not assessed to your licence until all financial transactions

are complete. If you do not cash the cheque, then the transactions are
NOT

complete. However, the system has gotten its money and is happy and will

not bother you any more. This information came to our attention from a

very reliable computer company that sets up the standard database used by

each county's computing system.:unsure::unsure:

or you could just end up a quid down, if you can't do the time......blahblahblah.

I tried everything after being zapped in glossop, their cameras aren't even hi vis, they are tree green and next to trees.... didn't make any difference.

The worst place is the A51 between LLangollen and Betws-y-coed, theres a lillte welsh **** of a copper with a hand-held who hides in the bushes....He got both me and a mate of mine 2 weeks in sucession...We passed the spot one morning and had a serious conversation about knocking him over and chucking him and his camera in the river...

Just couldn't bring ourselves to do it....one day however he's gonna get it

So you sped, got done, and went there the following week and sped, and got done? What does that tell you?

I work the streets. I have zero sympathy for boy racers or wannaby Michael Schumachers.... or Welsh.
