He's a ned. Bit like Riordan before him.
Good players though.

O'Connor as well, what is it about Hibs that attracts guys who are unquestionably talented but seem to want to throw their careers away?

Griffiths still has time on his side to stay on track, but I think for Rodgers to say Griffiths 'Will learn from his experience' is defending the guy too much, common sense tells you that tying your teams scarf to a goalpost at an away ground is going to incense the crowd and for me Griffiths as an individual was not punished enough.

Well I don't think Hibs have a monopoly on neds in Scottish football - even talented ones like the three we mention - but they have certainly come in a "clutch" at Easter Road the last few years.

The linfield 'fans' had Ben pelting him with rocks, coins & bottles and he ties a scarf to the post ??? Maybe should have been stoned to death in the shankhill :p

Yes mate he was so occupied with running for his life from so many rocks, coins bottles, hand grenades and nuclear arsenal that he had time to find a scarf walk even nearer to them and spend time tying a nice knot in it whilst attaching it to the post.

Read the context of the post we are talking about the amount of halfwits who have played for Hibs.

Griffiths should have ended the episode once he'd brought the bottle to the referee's attention, he was then obviously wrongly booked, he had no need whatsoever to do anything else, he has brought the club and himself needlessly into disrepute and played right into the hands of religious bigots.

Well as you say, getting booked for showing the ref a bottle that was thrown at him, I would think tying a scarf to a post is just showing them that he wasn't intimidated. Basically the match should have been played behind closed doors.

In showing them he wasn't intimidated he earned himself and the club a fine and put them right in the spotlight for any further misdemeanors, he should show some maturity and sense unfortunately two words you never hear attributed to Griffiths, i don't understand why you are condoning and excusing his inflammatory behaviour.

He wasn't wrongly booked. Every time Griffith took a corner he was mouthing or signalling to the Linfield fans and It was getting worse with every corner. I feel that is why the referee booked him. When Rodgers substituted him he continued his antics on the bench and finally finished it off with the scarf on the post. Celtic have been penalised for their half-wit and Linfield have been penalised for their half-wits.

On the scarf tying he obviously did it the other night and at ibrox so he clearly knows what he's doing . Let's be fair if Suarez or Gerrard had done that at Goodison we'd have gone mental , well I certainly would have . It's designed to inflame and anger and I can , to a degree see why some Celtic fans would defend it , but it's not a smart idea and it's going to cause problems .
