Just reading that rangers forum follow follow: someone is insisting that this is LFC pulling the strings....had him off to rangers for "big club" experience and then off to a club like Villa for PL level experience before installing him in 2024 at Anfield.

Incredible levels of paranoia. lol

@laudo9

Is Gerrard a legend at rangers if he leaves or is he cast out as a pariah?

?

I think leaving them mid-season to anyone other than Liverpool will be a bitter blow that their supporters will hold a grudge over, especially as there's still a lot to do in order to tie up the Title this season

That being said, if he is going to take this job then he has to do it now

It's not a Rodgers situation where Leicester were apparently happy for him to see the season at Celtic out before coming in but he personally wanted to get settled in ASAP

I think that stopping Celtic getting 10-in-a-row will be his legacy and he'll be seen in that light.

Same as someone on here saying Gerrard leaving for AV was a load of BS , every forum has cranks like you tbh!

Gerrard stopped the 10, but that's all he has in the grand scheme of things

Had a chance to win 9 domestic cups whilst managing one of the top two teams in the country and only won 1 of them

Tom English made a good point, St Johnstone have won double the trophies Gerrard has won during his time there, despite spending a comparatively paltry amount

He probably should have stayed at Rangers a bit long in order to try and pad the CV out a bit
