It wouldn't take long for officials to travel these days, but it does seem a lot of hassle, but, somehow, the Lanarshire referees branch seems to control refereeing up here, and an inordinate amount of officials seem to come from that branch, and if you're in that branch, and maybe another organisation into the bargain, you have afar better chance of reaching the top than officials from other parts of Scotland.

It's somewhat common over here. I'm from Belgium. Dutch referees sometimes ref our games and vice versa. Usually for controversial clubs. Like KV Mechelen (they've bribed a referee to avoid relegation, didn't work though they still got relegated even though the referee did his utmost - not his fault they missed the penalties) this year etc...

@larbert toffee middle fingering my post.My point was that Steve Clarke was picking and choosing, over whats offensive and whats not offensive. There wasn't the same level of outrage from him, over the Kris Boyd incident.Let's be consistent here, and condemn sectarianism across the board.
The difference being on this occasion it was personal to him and he had an opportunity to speak to the press immediately after the event when you could see he was physically shaken and close to tears, don't throw in 'oh and by the way he used tobe associated with Chelsea' no need for that whatsoever totally irrelevant, perhaps you would like to explain to one and all why you saw fit to mention Chelsea?
This is West of Scotland religious bigotry which you know nothing about only what you have read and seen on TV, I have lived in Scotland for nigh on 60 years and see it everyday bubbling away in the workplace and the pubs.

Steve Clark was 'picking and choosing' where does Chelsea come into a religious bigotry debate?
It's commendable you condemned it in the first place but to then mention 'the same Steve Clark employed by right wing Chelsea was bang out of order and angered me, see I've explained myself now lets hear your side of your post.

Looking at the photo again there is no way it was petrol bombed. Unless plastic chairs are fire retardant now.

Not a good look for the travelling Celtic fans that

A nice gesture would be for them to club together and pay for the damages

A Rangers statement on Thursday said: "Rangers Football Club wishes to make it clear unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated at Ibrox. Everything possible will continue to be done to eradicate this kind of behaviour."
A bit of class Rangers coming out immediately and condemning last nights incident, no mention of Clark's ties with previous club's nobody suggesting he has double standards just plain and simple condemnation, good on them for that.

I saw photos of that place years ago, and it was an absolute hovel. To say it was in a state of disrepair would be a real understatement.

I really hope a moronic Celtic fan hasn't done this, but you can't rule out an insurance job either, with the blame being apportioned to a Celtic fan, like the Rangers bus that was reported to have burst into flames, due to a sectarian attack on said bus, only for the police to say there was no evidence whatsoever to say it had anythjng to do with our fans.

Ah, poor Debbie Ramsey from Derry, who said everyone in her group has been warned against going to the Levante Beach Boulevard known as 'the Strip' or wearing their Northern Ireland football tops. I wonder who gave Debbie this advise? Was it the police? A hotel rep perchance? Maybe it was a local taxi driver? Or maybe it's been completely made up?

Still, it's nice to see Debbie the wife of a DUP Councillor, and former DUP election agent herself, take a wider interest in things happening outside their area. I wonder if Gregory Campbell gave Debbie, and her husband, advice on how to plant anti-Celtic stories in a sympathetic newspaper?

Celtic fans in rampage! :dodgy:

David with Britain's Got The Pop factor star Geraldine McQueen. Oh wait, it's the lovely Debbie!

I'm sure you'll all understand if I treat their claims with a great deal of caution?

Is that Rangers bar that's right beside Celtic Park still open?I think there was one in the general vicinity, i remember seeing it on some tv documentary.
