It seems mad. I think they're contractually obliged to play the semis at Hampden, but could they not have played one of them on the Sunday?

Think they're both on the Sunday as the OF are playing in Europe on the Thursday. Terrible decision, 4 sets of fans in the city at the same time. The early game fans will be celebrating or drowning their sorrows at the same time as the late game fans will be indulging in a pre-match bevvy, madness.

Maybe the police should step in and demand ibrox or parkhead should be used for one of the ties for safety's sake.

I agree, but it would've been more sensible to play one of the games at Murrayfield, especially the Hearts v Celtic game.

Of course. After all, the old firm have always had an advantage at Hampden. Time to change that.

Yip that's partly the reason why Scottish football is where it is today.

I believe that is the case, but surely common sense should prevail, games have been moved to other grounds before. Also, take into account that it might actually rain for days/weeks before the games (unusual for the end of October in Scotland ), so the pitch will be in a shocking state for the second game. Regardless of the reasons behind the decision, I still fear that there will be trouble, hope I'm wrong.

I seem to recall there is something in agreement about each club getting a taste of hampden in the semis like the old firm always get.

The police should just refuse to police it. That'll get em to change it pretty sharpish
