Ibrox is amazing. Lennon gets called a F***** B****** the whole game, cups his ears to celebrate a goal and they're all wanting him arrested.
I repeat - the Old Firm are experts in giving and taking offence in equal measure.
I'm a rangers fan and in my opinion if you give an opposing manager or player stick you should be prepared to take it back

Been thinking about ways to improve the competitiveness of the game in Scotland

For me, here's two changes that I think will benefit the game in Scotland

1 - Increase the number of teams in the top division to 16

2 - You do lose two money spinning Old Firm games that way though so as a way of making up for that, you have it fixed so Celtic and Rangers always have to play each other in the first round of the two domestic cups. That has the two-pronged effect of ensuring there's still a guaranteed 4 Old Firm games every season and will also ensure that at least one of the teams in the final will be guaranteed not to be an Old Firm side, which will increase the chances of every other side in the domestic game of having a big day out at Hampden

Pretty radical idea I know, and I'm sure it wouldn't be popular with the two Old Firm sides themselves, but it seems a good way of increasing competitiveness in the top division and will work from a marketability standpoint as well

EDIT

Just as an additional note, when I say "fix" the opening round of the cup, I don't mean it in a dodgy clandestine way. I mean just seed the two sides against one another, so it's fully transparent and above board

The first one has been talked about since I first went to pittodrie in the 80s. Won't ever happen, self interest of clubs in the spl that want the old firm gate receipts. IMO, Scotland really should only have two national divisions with regional leagues under that.

I think the best way to improve the game is summer football. It's so obvious it's unreal that it's not been implemented.

Inverness 1 v 1 Morton

Proverbial game of 2 halves, all ICT first half and all Morton second half. Didn't think we'd take anything from the game in the first half, but rallied and deserved a point in the end. Fantastic day out in the highland capital, few beers, sing song and a point as well...happy days :)
Yes good point
Fancy ICT to finish top
Then anyone from 8
Brechin bottom

Didn't go to the Morton game yesterday as Mrs. Ct and I were visiting our daughter, who's on a placement in Barrow from Uni working on the nuclear subs. From what I've read we were really poor and weren't at the races. Not good enough.
