Morton 0 v 0 Dumbarton

2 points dropped on the opening day of the season. We never really took advantage of having most of the possession and the wind in a first half that should've seen Morton a couple of goals up at ht. Second half was scrappy with 6 or 7 bookings and we had the better chances without being very effective.
Hope my trip to Goodison tomorrow provides more entertaining, and with a better outcome. ;)

Hibs eventually overcame a well organised but slow Partick team. Turned out to be a physical game.

The gulf between the SPL and the Prem was amazing.

When the goalies were kicking from hand all the players were confined to a strip either side of the halfway line.

It could have been rugby.

Were you at the game mate? Think both Hibs and the Jags will do well this season, Archibald seems to be doing really well at Partick, wouldn't be surprised to see him linked with the Hearts job.

I hope not!

I was at the game and had a pint in a bar in Iona St afterwards where Irvine Welsh suddenly appeared with some nice girls.

Just watched the Dundee derby on BT, thought Dundee well were worth their win. Dundee had most of the possession and better chances 1st half and a cracking goal, but Utd hit back late in the half. A well taken goal by ex-Morton player Paul McGowan sealed a deserved victory for the Dees.

I saw the last half an hour and enjoyed it. Dundee missed an incredible chance to make it 2-2 when Bain had a moment of silliness

And he got the draw he didn't want
Not much cheering from the home changing room I bet

The Dundee derby was a good game. The Dee are probably stronger but United had a couple of chances. King missed a sitter in the second half. If they play like that every week they'll come back up I reckon.
