SCARED.....

This Status Quo you talk of Dave, surely a new Manager would come in and break this up, guess how long he would last, then the next Manager, then the next, then the next.

Staus Quo arent that bad really.

The thing that's getting broken up though isn't all that. There's a world to win or lose. As Kenny Rogers said: "You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em".

Wise words.

After the ****e we went through in 90's, I think fans are more scared of the Board appointing one of: Dave Jones, Gray Megson, Brian McDermott, Owen Coyle, Neil Lennon, Ian Holloway, Eddie Howe, Neil Warnock, Mark Hughes, Roberto Martinez etc etc etc and undoing all the work that has been put in place.

Within 5 years of us winning the title we where a mid table side who drastically declined after that and are lucky to have survived. And the problem people all so have is that any half decent manager would want a bit of cash at his disposal, which ain't happening, so our search for a replacement would probably land us with one of the above choices.

Laudrup gone to Swans. Good for them, he'll play a passing game like you have never seen before. Would have been something different to Moyes that's for sure.

Not scared about Moyes leaving. Scared about who is picking his replacement and how his replacement will be supported ($$$$).

you don't think £15mil is big do you not?? strange i bet you didn't say that at the time when he signed a player for 15 did you bet you thought it was quite a lot of cash at that time.

15m isnt big.

To add context, 15m in 1996 would have broken the World Transfer fee, 1996, 15m was considered big.

In 2000 Luis Figo was transferred for 44m, Christian Vieri for 31m.

In 2011, Lidbool paid 19m for Jordan Henderson.

And in 2009 the World Transfer record was broken when Ronaldo was sold for 80m.

15m big?

Yeah, in 1996.

2007–2008 Getafe
2008–2009 Spartak Moscow
2010–2011 Mallorca
2012– Swansea City

I love the way he stays around and sees the job through.

I know what your thinking and I think the same, Kenwrong wont leave while Moyes is in charge, Moyes gives him his comfort zone.

Its a dangerous game tho David, a very dangerous game.

In all fairness he had major boardroom problems with Getafe; couldn't settle in Moscow and Mallorca was in finacial meltdown.

But, just because he was a world class football people shouldn't automatically assume he will be a world class manager

Anyone bold enough to admit they'd be 'excited' (not sure if that's the right word to use here) to see who we'd employ should Moyes leave?

I'm still confident he won't leave.

I dont think excited would be the phrase for me but I would be intrigued to see what someone else could do with the squad.

with all the "moyes is the next ferguson" guff, we could use that angle to get a big compensation packerge off totters and then get gary neville in

How many clubs outside of the top 4- 5 have ever spent 15mil on one player? can't be many i'd wager the teams you mention and players you mention are established CL/European comp teams world class players so comparing us to them your talking out of you butt mate.

The fact in nearly every pro moyes rant you come out with you consistently compare us to the likes of wigan and blackpool tells me everything about you Mout you have accepted mediocrity and people like you need to stop being blinkered with 'we were worse in the 90's lark' yes we were but we were better in the 80's so what. Different generations different ball game.

You however are intent on using clubs like wigan and blackpool who more than punch above their weight and is a fantastic acheivement for them to be Prem clubs as a yard stick for ourselves worries me. you my friend have given up. well in BK.
