Which is exactly what I have said? The festival idea would be a giant party, even more so than a parade . It would still be their day or weekend. It would still be promoting the cause, and it would be much bigger and more high profile than what they do now.

If anything what I suggest as an alternative would be actually better?

I'd argue that being 'marginalised' is to be segregated, separated from everyone else etc. Whether you happen to be the majority is irrelevant if you're talking about defining factors. One specific factor is excluded from a group - that is marginalisation.

Yes I have. Not quite the same as having a static festival thing for all people to be involved in though
