Stick him in the U-23's and let Unsy work on him. Renew his confidence when he starts slotting in the goals and relieve the anxiety. He clearly must have something about him but let's face it he is not alone in this. The whole first team set up is fragmented with little or no idea. It's even migrated onto the terraces/stands and the crowd's angst is feeding the teams anxiety.

Said this the other week. Lad needs some game time down in the U'23's playing week in week out in his favoured position. Let him get his confidence up and also learn the basics of what is required for the English game and he will come back a lot better/stronger. There is absolutely no point playing him 45 minutes here and there in a team that is devoid of all ideas.

How about we try passing the football on the floor instead of booting it at his knee or playing a 50 yr hoof so he can flick it onto no one?

Every Spanish paper said he'd need a year to adjust. I didn't expect him to be anything but a sub until Christmas at least.
No idea why Koeman plays like this.

It seems so basic but why doesn't Koeman see it. The lad will be destroyed before he can really get to grip with the pressures of the Premier, will end up being shunted back to Spain and become a 'worldy' playing for Real Betis or some other second rate Spanish team.

...very disappointing. Totally bizarre decision to play him up top given his first half debacle against Stoke. It's patently clear that he can't lead the line, he just can't. This makes the decision to pick him there startling and was the root cause for the disjointed team last night.

Saying that, he's offering little when he gets the ball in any position. I honestly think David Henen could be more effective.

Just watched a video of the goals he's scored. All counter attacking. Either from delivery from pacy wide men or from cutting in onto his right and hitting it with lots of movement around him creating the space.

Basically in short, he's never ever ever gonna be a Koeman player. He's more Vardy than Giroud. It's not gonna work.

Except Vardy scores goals
