So far he has done nothing which suggests he is worthy of the Everton number 9 shirt.
He can't beat a man, he can't shoot, at times he struggles to control the ball and he always makes the wrong runs.
At the moment he is behind not only Calvert-Lewin, but also Vlasic and Niasse.
An early return to Spain might be the best move for him and for Everton.

He looked really poor tonight, it's hard to stick up for the lad because based on that he'd look more at his level in the U23s. His one saving grace so far has been that at least he works hard and doesn't hide from the ball, he's a trier. His need jib off trying all these little fancy flicks and for God's sake learn to run with your head up instead of just looking at the ball and charging down dead-end alleys.

He's really, really struggling at the moment.

I keep looking for something to cling to to make me think he's a real gem just finding his feet but it hasnt happened yet. You normally see glimmers of talent even when a player isn't hitting the heights but it is seriously grim watching him right now.

I remember reading a bizarre article about all of his goals being from really strange places and how he'd therefore struggle to score for us. Maybe everything he hit just turned to gold for him last year.

Why was it that we got him so cheap?

Release clause - every Spanish player has to have one in their contract

Made a point of watching him tonight and he never stays still.
He is everywhere and at times picks the ball up at left back, right midfield, centre midfield?!?!

Needs to stay up front and calm down a bit.....

Worries me this one as he looks awful, really awful.

Weak as hell and too easily dispossessed.
