Gomez admitted Valladolid were initially interested in a permanent switch for the striker but Marcel brands can only do 1 part of the job and insisted on a loan.

....most of these youngsters won’t work out, Frank, but in the scheme of things £15k is very little when you get £50m for John Stones and sign the likes of DCL and Holgate for minimal fees. Don’t look in isolation, consider the bigger picture and it’s a sensible strategy.
