Sandhills station

Exactly...

Manchester got Burnham and we got a Bootleg Beatle.
Sadly that's what safe seats produce, it's why while I hate Tories, because they're just people who get involved in politics because they're upper class. Safe seats in places like Glasgow and Liverpool and Glasgow produce inept MPS, who get involved in politics just to protect their own interests no different from Tories.

The madness will be that after the match, a lot of fans will go to Moorfields just to go past Sandhills, to save all the waiting around and to guarantee a seat.
There is that many heading to Moorfields they aint getting on there either. Could end up walking back to central or further. Might as well just walk home

Can you imagine the chaos when there is a problem on the line?
only takes one Kopite to jump in front of a train if Michael Oliver doesn't give Mo Salad a penalty.
I can only imagine the fun and games if there are significant delays or cancellations.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here mate.

Weighing up waiting at Sandhills vs. walking to Moorfields after a match, in terms of how many Ormskirk trains I’d have to miss at Sandhills before walking to Moorfields would have been better.

Does joining the queues at 5:20pm for a 3pm kick off seem realistic for someone who stays till FT and will be coming from the West Stand?

15 mins to Sandhills v 25 mins to Moorfields.
Waiting time in queue at Sandhills probably longer but wouldn't surprise me to see loads head to Moorfields instead of Sandhills.
At least you have a chance of a seat at Moorfields although the shoppers at Central will have nabbed most but at least you're on the train.

A licenced ferry with a bar would be class.
I was in London last yearmust have been start of season or a pre season game or summat and Spuds were on a boat going up the river to, I assume, Fulham, it sounded like they were having a top fun time with the singing they were doing. I'd happily park on the wirral and take boat over to BMD

At the moment, I take the train to Kirkdale from Central.

There is about a mile walk to Goodison from there.

How much further would it be walking to BMD from Lime Street?
it takes me about 40 mins to walk from lime street to goodison, for vice versa (once out of the immediate area around the ground BMD is a little bit nearer but as has been mentioned, there are very few viable trains running by the time I'd get to LS after an evening game. Will have to drive and find somewhere to abandon the jalopy

The Mersey by Bramley Moore is a very different beast to the genteel Thames.
