Roberto has just twatted, saying he will be match fit for christmas, soft tissue injury or something.

Haha! They are ok in here I thought? @Woolly Blue

I'm still totally clueless mate. Been like that for 50'odd years, I doubt it'll ever change now

Anyway, Eto. We need a striker, he's a striker and though he's not Kenwyn Jones, he's not Danny Welbeck either so it's all good.
It's a short term fix, but it's a calculated risk and I'd prefer Eto to Balotelli.

Plainly if Balotelli had signed for us and Eto had gone to the RS then investing in a young, talented but totally crazy player would have been sound too.

Prentice on it now too.

Everton FC are ready to hand Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto'o a two year deal.

The former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea forward is due at Finch Farm today for a medical.

If successful he will pen a deal until 2016 at Goodison adding much needed depth to the Blues striking resources.

Eto'o will become the Blue's fifth signing of the summer after Mohamed Besic, Brendan Galloway, Christian Atsu and £28m man Romelu Lukaku.

The Cameroonian scored nine Premier League goals for Chelsea last term in a one year spell at Stamford Bridge. The 33-year-old also had spells at Real Madrid, Mallorca and Anzhi and scored over 300 goals during his career.

Worth noting that Eto'o did reasonably well at Chelsea last year given he arguably wasn't Mourinho's number one choice.

Also, at 33 he's still the same age as Gareth Barry and plays in a less physically demanding area of the pitch.

Brenda swerved Etooooo,
