so that was some tune he got out of them then...
I'm not talking about tika-taka, but if you're going to chuck several hundred million pounds at transfers and planning a plush new stadium, you don't want a hoof-ball relegation specialist in charge for several years.
With the benefit of hindsight, it's easy to slate Koeman, but at the time of his appointment the intention was that he would get us playing direct, fast football, similar to what he'd had S'ton playing (but with more clout in transfer spend).
His dogged determination to sign Marco Silva (again - flawed, with the benefit of hindsight) demonstrated that he wanted a manager who gives a certain brand of football.
Also, if you remember, he only ever wanted to give Big Sam a temporary contract until the end of the year to save us from a relegation scrap - the 18 month "compromise" was out of the desperation more than anything else.
I fully expect Moshiri will be keeping an eye out for someone who will be more intact with how he sees the brand developing.
he's getting davies/martina/gyilf/rooney/niasse/gueye/keane playing much better than when koeman was here
really? they have a decent game and then rubbish, mainly rubbish.
maybe, if that person isn't avalible though maybe Sam should get another season to ensure stability
Think we've got to live a little. Big Sam's brand of football is honestly very, very dire. I'd sooner we explored our options in the summer, strengthened some key areas and got in a manager who gives the fans something to get behind.
nothing to do with Sam and he seems to be at least getting a tune out of most of the players
He really doesn’t. I know you seem to have a small amount of affection for the fat man, but the rest of us are hoping he gets the bullet rather soon
Samosaurus needs to be extinct
I get you don't like him chris, i think no matter what he did here you would still hate him, quite sad really
Yeah really good point...he always seems to portrait as some hero fighting against all the odds..to err just be kin average at his very best....No interviewer ever calls him out. Journalism, do they get sacked of they ask uncomfortable questions?
He’ll achieve nothing here, just like his 20 year management career. A big fat zero
The fact people accept this man as our manager is a sad fact of life
