Sam Allardyce Explains Cenk Tosun Situation

What he's said isn't that unreasonable to be fair.

I reckon he should be playing, but at least Allardyce has admitted that he wants to take a bit more time with him. Fair enough.

If anyone don't take besiktas and cenks boss performance at CL seriously (or the 2 years in a row league title goals in turkey), don't watch just goals, watch how the team plays. its basically based on passing football with an attacking mentality and the team always chase goals as one, not throw the ball to the front-line randomly and hope a miracle happens style. Everton only played that football in the 60 minutes of liecester game. and that kind of non-coward football will make tosun a regular scorer.

What's about cenk is he maybe can't play well as a counter attack striker, but 8 out of 10 he can score goals like niasse failed past 2 games.
I don't think Sam Allardyce has any clue about cenk. He basically dont believe in his team and how can anyone expect he can believe in tosun and give him the confidence he needs to score.
That managers only goal is putting everton away from relegation. Contructing a team that really plays football also looking good to the eyes is not his thing. That swansea tactical influence speech shows how he is desperate on scanning the talents on the squad of everton and creating a harmony on it.

From now on I won't judge players based on fat sam's opinions on them. you can.

But you're judging a player on how he played for a completely different team in a completely different league?

How about judging Tosun on what he's done for Everton, which is so far, absolutely nothing.

The only way the lad is going to get up to speed is by playing, not sitting on the bench.

His confidence must be taking a hit as well, one minute he's playing champions league footy, then the next he finds himself warming the bench for an absolutely gash prem team.

In not judging, I'm just saying in every player there is a tactical structure to get the best of them, and as a manager, sam is giving him the worst and expecting the most.
but you are true, he couldn't score in the 3 games he played, so directly he is crap.
I find many posts against him so prejudice and football ignorant.

The tactical system most strikers like is any system in which opportunities are created for them to score.

Our strikers don’t get that luxury.

In his 3 appearances for us, the whole team was shambolic. Spurs, West Brom and Arsenal.

With Coleman, Walcott, Sigurdsson and Davies who can actually move the ball around and create chances, the Leicester game would have been perfect for him. Instead he got left on the bench and thrown on when we were 4 (or 5? didn't watch 2nd half) goals down. No striker will be able to perform in that situation when the rest of the team is shellshocked.

Sam you gave him two games then dropped him for niasse who can’t even hit a barn door?

Why did you spend 27m on him if he’s not ready? Madness

He's the best striker we have. He just needs to freakin play.

But Sam will keep picking Oumar as well as other stellar players like Morgan, Martina, Williams, etc. He'd still be picking McCarthy if he wasn't hurt.

Play Tosun for heavens sake.
