Cos if every team played a full strength side for every friendly, you may as well just have a non stop rolling season

Most teams use it to give players with potential a run out. But there are a lot of players there who we know will never play Premier league football. What are we gaining from watching these players look poor against poor opposition?

For his first time playing up, I thought Armstrong looked decent. Tim wasn't bad either.

It wasn't pretty at all only savior for me was the goals were down to young lads that won't get a look in when the season starts. The attacking side is still awful and after that Lindstrom will be licking his lips cos he'll be thinking if he can't get a start here then he can't get one anywhere.

Pre season matters much more than people think. It's a very big part of the reason why we start the season so poorly so often.
