He was getting into the game when he was subbed off. He hit the post, just missed with a volley and almost won a peno (good defending though)...

He got replaced by Vaughan...he aint no finished article and fluffed chances.

My thoughts as well I would have subbed Cahill. He was non existent.

I honestly couldn't care .
Me and my good amogo Tox-Teth fall out upon this one subject .
For me he has never had his heart in it . He has consistently-even when in scoring form - threw up his arms if passes are not within reach , .. that sort of shabs .
My objection to him , primarily , is that when heads begin to drop , his is among the first . Now , he bounces down the tunnel .
If we are serious about Huntellaar , I'd give Louis his P45 .

The mistake was Arteta . Playing to the gallery , I'm afraid . The man needed was Seamus Coleman .
We have now played these twice , and in the first half today , and the second last time , we have thrown long ball after long ball , into their , admittedly decent , centre half , and 2 banks of four .
The other 2 halves , we have gotten down the sides , split the midfield cover , and turned the defence around , and we have all kinds of joy . On another day we would've gotten 4 or 5 .
Coleman's game is getting down the wing . It is PRECISELY what was missing today , and alas , Mikel's entrance precluded that .
Shame .

Saha was anonymous for 60 minutes, although to be fair he didn't receive one decent pass in that time.

Suddenly he springs into life, has 3 good chances in 5 minutes and is scaring the hell out of the Brum defence.

So he is taken off !!!!!!!!!

I don't understand litlle Curly's criticism of Arteta. What a joy to see an incisive forward pass or two instead of the sideways pass favoured by most.

Mate , I didn't criticise him - though he is patently right out of nick . Those flicks did not come off today , people made runs he didn't see , etc - . My point was that Moysey chose to play Arteta for the impact in the stands as much as on the pitch .
To me , Coleman would've been more logical , and effective .
Just my opinion .
P.S. I love La Vision de Oro , btw .
