Picking on posters unfairly does not become you as a Mod either Bruce.........Playing the victim doesn't become you Joe.
when posters agree with you seem to overlook their post just an observation over the last 2 years like.........

I did Bruce 70 gallon of crude kerosene burnt on the 737 in one hour now how many planes fly in and out ?
Also Bruce it was on subject no apology from you .....
Also why do I have to prove evidence you like Googling dont you lol
there done it for you -

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2010/apr/06/aviation-q-and-aThe planes don't fly down the streets of central London though.

so the fumes just float away - so if that's the case let's have the coal power stations back like in China the USA etc - its a way to make money - end of...... in London for now till other cities follow .......

Really Bruce -The link you've posted from the Guardian is about the impact of flying on the climate, not on the air quality people breath when they live in central London. Something like this from the EU would have made your point much better - http://ec.europa.eu/environment/int..._exposure_to_aircraft_emissions_421na1_en.pdf (which in turn gets its data from https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/10/3/034001/meta) - and it would have been even better had you compared the data from that study for those living within 1km of an airport, and those living/working within 1km of the worst traffic pollution in London.
You know, the kind of analysis that one would imagine TFL would have done for Khan, but which your back of an envelope thinking took apart. You sadly seem to conflate anyone disagreeing with you as them picking on you, which doesn't seem a very healthy mindset to have.
Really Bruce -

wind rain etc would not send the pollution on to our roads your mindset is bewildering ....
Yes Bruce its like every google it can come up with different results - I posted a few more for you Noise - fumes etc is a danger near an Airport, and Air traffic has increased tremendously over the years latey -You didn't even read what I posted, did you?
So its never windy or breezy in London Bruce?http://www.londonair.org.uk/london/asp/annualmaps.asp
From your own link - look at the colour of the blob around Heathrow, and look at the size of that coloured blob in central London.

London when I was a kid was called , going down to the Smoke - why it was full of heavy industry with high carbon chimneys - GONE- it was full of coal fires in households - Gone outlawed in 1965 less traffic I grant you that but the scale of smoke fumes from the above caused smog ....
Its bad. but not as bad in the days I mentioned as I had family living there.... but this scheme is a racket to raise money nothing more nothing less......
Yes if you waver in an argument just take the P as per Brucelol"Yeah, I looked at that thing and you can get Google to say anyfing you like, even stuff that broadly agrees with me, but I'm gonna say somefing else as I didn't even bovver to read it..."
Agree Joey that smog was awful, hence the change in laws and policies, but trying to improve it now also needs doing, not as a money making scheme, thats like saying a smoking ban was a gimmick, these things are done for health reasons because in the long term it saves on treatmentYes Bruce its like every google it can come up with different results - I posted a few more for you Noise - fumes etc is a danger near an Airport, and Air traffic has increased tremendously over the years latey -

Yes , but LBC today that Mayor would not dare to come on and talk to Nick Ferrari - his rates per day will hurt the common working man - great socialism, and what's the point if the rest of the world major powers don't give a damn?Agree Joey that smog was awful, hence the change in laws and policies, but trying to improve it now also needs doing, not as a money making scheme, thats like saying a smoking ban was a gimmick, these things are done for health reasons because in the long term it saves on treatment
