Should the club sack Dyche?

I like Dyche, but after yesterday my reaction was just sack him.

It would be naive to think he doesn't shoulder any blame, picking the side, tactics, coaching etc. But there's an awful lot out of his hands he's not on the pitch
for a start and there are a number of key players missing. We already know we need an actual goal scorer. It's no surprise that we're struggling. Unfortunately
for Dyche it is played 3, goals 0, points 0. Bottom of the league.

Absolutely not. It's daft to suggest otherwise at this stage. If we're still getting pumped and not scoring when McNeil, Harrison, Danjuma, and Beto/DCL are our front 4 then it's a different story. We're creating chances even without them in the team (or 100% fit in Danjuma's case). He's also not going into the season saying, "take your time about the striker reinforcement lads, Maupay will see us through the first few, and anyway we can afford to lose a few easy ones". He's been let down.

We’ve been the better team in two of three games
We really haven’t.
We have played two mid table teams with home advantage and been defeated , failing to score a single goal , explain to me how that equates as ‘better’ ?
We have also played a possible contender for the top six away and been absolutely mauled , again failing to find the net once.
During all these games the overall standard of football we have played has been poor.
We rely almost entirely on breaking out of defence at speed , which has provided most of our goal opportunities. The moment the opposition prevents this we lack the ingenuity and movement to find a way through their defence,
And once they break out of our high press , we surrender the midfield to the opposition and allow them to dictate long passages of play.
We have been poor. Missing chances at home doesn’t make you the better team in defeat.

Sacking managers does not fix the root problems here. It’s a short term measure.

Sort the club itself first then look at the situation with the manager and Director of Football.

Any manager who would come in and achieve something like mid table or just above that is papering over the cracks and will inevitably fall short because Everton is not a club that is currently set up to be successful.

It’s the self indulgent and short term thinking for all these years that have played a part in us being in this disgraceful mess.

That won’t be our front 4, he’s never moving doucoure from the second striker/ attacking midfielder role

We don't need a new manager, its the worst thing we can do and essentially repeating the mistakes we've made up to this point.
I don’t think sacking Lampard was a mistake mate. The mistake we made was sacking him too late. Benitez‘s sacking was again about right and his appointment was a travesty. Koeman’s and Silva’s sacking were possibly too soon. It’s the appointments that are the issue unfortunately with which the sacking go hand in hand. Carlo left, but apparently Becuse of the tail off at the end of his season with us Moshiri was considering sacking him….this was a mistake as it apparently led to him approaching Madrid (although it‘s possible he may have done this anyway)

The sackings have been a damning indictment of our managerial talent search, but if we didn’t sack I think there‘s a real argument to say we would have been playing Championship football now. The sackings aren’t allowing us to progress, but equally, they are possibly saving us. We seem to be stuck in the footballing twilight zone.

I actually think he'll go 4-4-2 with both DCL and Beto on the rare occasions they're both fit.

For the most part I'm sure you're right, but we'd still score plenty of goals that way. Doucs was very unlucky not to bag yesterday.

Lose to Sheff Utd and sack the votes will be close to 40%

Depends on the manner of a defeat, if we get a Villa performance then yes but if it's another case we are better and should have won then I think it won't be that high.

Also depends on the cup game too. If we start scoring people will be a bit more comfortable.

We might be ok. We might not. Far too early to say.

Relying on a fully fit squad is a recipe for disaster as well. We need recruitment this week or I dont believe we have enough.

We won't be so reliant on a fully fit squad if these signings come off. We'll have Beto, DCL and Chermiti as CF options, with Danjuma as a 4th. On the wing we can pick any combination from Danjuma, Harrison, Iwobi, McNeil and Young. The increased forward options may lead to one of the 3 midfielders dropping out and we'll also have Garner as an option. Suddenly we'll have a half decent replacement for anyone bar at CB which will probably have to be addressed next.

Its more the process mate and the vacuum it creates, it leads to instability and a lack of consisteney with no coherent philposehey. Im sure there are players in that dressing room who have been through what 8-10 managers, who must say to themselves when a new one comes in "oh right - you wont be here in 6 months" and wont be motivated no matter who it is. The instability also stops players improving and getting better, especially the younger ones. Theres no plan from one 6 months to the other. The rot needs to stop.

The other thing is the use of resources, we are bringing in lads right now with Dyche approach in mind, we brought players in under Lampard for how he wanted to play and same with Benitiez, Carlo before - its just a waste and a mismash or resources. Its ridiculous.

We need to stop it - when we started sacking managers we were competitive for Europe, these days wed bite your hand off for 17th.

I thought yesterday was a pretty even game aside from the chances.

Make no mistake though Wolves are a poor team themselves and they admitted that on their forum so they won't be much higher than bottom six:

It was simply a terrible game to lose. At worst you take a 0-0, get a clean sheet and a point on the board and move on to next week. Worrying this side seemingly isn't capable of that this season given the Fulham game was similar.
