Ryan Giggs Wants Everton Job

Ryan Giggs has declared his interest in succeeding Ronald Koeman as Everton manager.

“I think you look at those two teams, Leicester being champions two seasons ago, Everton being a fantastic club with a fantastic history, for me these are clubs I would be interested in,” Giggs revealed to Sky Sports.

“There are a lot of coaches out there who would be interested in those positions,” conceded Giggs who won 13 Premier League titles with Manchester United.

“There are clubs in the Premier League which would be good jobs but also in the Championship and League One. It’s more about the philosophy for me than the stature of the club.”

I don’t think you’re surprised in this climate that clubs change managers so quickly,” added the Manchester United legend.

“Obviously Everton spent a lot of money while Leicester’s owners’ expectations are higher after what they achieved.

“I’ve said all along that I’d be open to clubs which share the ambitions of myself. I want to improve clubs and improve players, to enjoy working for them and for players to enjoy the challenge.”

I want it too, but I'm ahead of him at the back of very long queue

He should hang on a bit longer, I hear the clouds are gathering over our neighbors, he should send his CV to them instead.

You know how that will go? 20 years down the line Ryan Giggs surpasses Alex Ferguson as the greatest british manager of all time. Able to create winning teams from crap squads, a brilliant man motivator and astute tactician. He will be interviewed after his 18th league trophy and they will question how he was able to stay at the RS for so long being an ex manc and he will regale the story how things could have been very different as he really wanted to take the job at Goodison but we turned him down...

Everton that.

My advice to Mr Giggs is to wash more, always looks like he has been on a three day bender and is just about to get bin-bagged on his doorstep! Absolute worldy of a player, absolute meff of a man!

Let's see. He's definitely here for a job until sometime next season when the Ferguson-shaped hole reappears at OT. Being here gives him a decent chance to slot in there. Using a big-name ex-player is usually good for player recruitment - many foreign youngsters grew up watching him on Telly. Not sure about his tactical acumen, but I guess we would do rather keep things simple under any manager.
