I fear we will concede early: this is Everton, away in (eastern) Europe after all.

Can't see us not scoring or them winning by two clear goals though, so we should scrape through.

The only certainty is that, in typical Everton stylee, we will make it difficult for ourselves from start to finish.

Koeman's team will be a good indicator of how seriously he takes this competition.

Sadly, I think he will persist with Martina (god knows why, or what Kenny has to do) and Williams, despite him being in urgent need of replacement.

But surely Sandro must start and if we play Calvert-Lewin, play the lad where he belongs - at centre forward!

ON A RELATED NOTE: HAS ANYONE GOT A SPARE TICKET FOR THE GAME PLEASE?

Worried about this, if we go out its a massive blow before the season has started.
They have to come at us but I don't think we go defensive, play our game, attack and let them worry about us not scoring more.
If we can score early and maybe twice I'd take Rooney off ASAP and rest him
Isn't the perceived wisdom, that Rooney gets it together quicker the more games he gets under his belt. It's very early August ffs. We're not about to embark on a 7 games in 17 days Christmas New Year thing.
We have (had) 7 games from 27 July to 9th Sept...If He's not up to it we're in a heap of trouble

Obviously Im nervous about this, as we NEED to make the group stage.

I do however believe we will be able to score 1 goal, even in a poor performance, and that 1 goal will mean they will have to score 3, which I dont think they can without giving up 3-4. I think Sandro will start up top and that will make all of the difference.

Can see them bunkering again for 80 minutes and then going all out for extra time... and then if they grab a goal, bunkering again for pennos.

Those going to the game, please understand that tickets are usually this cheap throughout the rest of Europe. In fact in Germany transportation on match days is also free.

Enjoy it.

ITV4 again.
