Lacks pace. I'd prefer Davies getting up to get on the end of things.

I am with you on our lack of pace generally, but in central midfield it's more about timing than pace.
Lampard was the absolute expert at this.

yep, bought a lovely season ticket at glamorgan.

Seen one game so far, the only one they've lost this season in lovely windy, cold and rainy conditions, all other 4 games have been rained off and yet today it's going to rain mid match as well as it being like a monsoon here today.


... of course they've played every single away match and won them all.

It'll be on the ITV catchup later afaik. I guess.

Could be very sticky. We just didn't look at all up to speed last week, still in pre season mode and that's the worst about these group qualifiers and the time they start. Sandro gave us a boost when he came on so he should be starting against these. But if they were hard to break down in Goodison...

You hardly need extreme pace from the player following up. Hes not supposed to get there first, hes supposed to get there after your front line gets there first. Thats kinda the whole point....

Hope RK learned that DCL is not a starter just yet at this stage and in that position - thankfully he's also gone for a keeper who can hear his defence.. and perhaps starting with Sandro up front to give them something more to think about..
