I'm sorry, but that is what you're basing your comments on? What a load of tripe. If the US were to do something as inflammatory as blockading Iran without a security council resolution, do you think Russia would:

a- Launch all out Thermonuclear War

or

b- Just ship the stuff across the Caspian Sea instead, while claiming the moral highground and using the political capital gained to take the pressure of it's actions in Georgia.

oh, and by the way, that massive distraction in Georgia? The ceasfire was announced yesterday, they're in negotiation. Although Russia has a somewhat loose understanding of the term Ceasefire, there's not much more to see here.

We got to have Kosovo as an independent state without Serbia's say so and against Russia's wishes, so Russia is now doing likewise with Abkhazia and Ossetia, the only Western agitation to prompt this conflict was recognising Kosovo, and I'm pretty sure the West didn't do it just to force this situation.

Bundy, you're not Rob_Japan in disguise are you? He was a one for slightly psychadelic net conspiracy theories too. Seriously, you could do with picking, or at least balancing, your sources more carefully, for each raving American numpty with purchased titles have a www.globalsecurity.org or a Reuters, or Economist.

It's not all about dropping big nukes; a lot of the time, it's jockeying for influence, horse trading and protecting investments, oh and the occasional bit of moral high ground grabbing.
 
yesterday russia played georgia in the womens volleyball - georgia went behind and fought back well to win, whats the odds on the same happening? :lol: vbookie?
 
oooh oooh oooh I liked Kosovo, yet the Pivo was not as nice as Sarajevo, decent beer in sipovo, jajce, and banja luka on the way there, after that it was just wrong.

I was there for a few years, and yes, dam good fun, (taking the peace keeping thing away from it, bright blue berets and no weapons, [Poor language removed] priceless)

Do you really wanna continue to call for the open destruction of another country? Really?
