Usually a denial like this means there's some kind of argument going on somewhere, as you say all we can hope for is that it comes down in our favour.

I swear we have the most stressful transfers of any club. Everyone seems to think they have it bad, but we really do have a terrible time.

Few scenarios;

We've discovered a problem (something like drugs) and Valencia looking after their asset.

Valencia used us to let the football world know he is available and looking for a fee to ease their finances.

Valencia are looking to move the goalposts.

Nothing on Valencias website though so don't worry. All the media would have had us believe Lescott was at Man City months ago and only recently, Bystrov was a cert to sign...

Where else is it saying that he's not going on loan?

Like GOT says, an agreement would've been made to get the agreement. Unless they pull out on personal terms, I'm sure its still going ahead.

I hate this.

Can someone write to the club and ask why were are [Poor language removed] in the transfer window?

Probably, I'm guessing you'd have to have all Banega's details to get a work permit - passport, birth certificate, career cv etc.

There this in the comments box of the story -

# 68 k is a story not only because most media but mark d comunicacion indeed. It is a teletype to the agency Efe that have played all media. But it is also true that this often happens every day: the media are told the news agency and published without bothering to confirm them and they go, they have to prove wrong after 2 minutes. The fellow who wrote the news agency has made a small mess and has been assumed that "Everton get a work permit was being" Everton get the assignment of Banega ". I said, before launching news unconfirmed, and could bother a bit to ask the club.

Basically, if you can make it out, is that its a unconfirmed story with a quote taken from the chairman bloke and havent asked the club if its true...so its still on unless something official comes out.

It could be they have received a bid for him for transfer from another club. As they are in financial trouble, they would obviously prefer the cash.

Possible. But we'd have heard from our news reports of it happening too.

Here's another comment -

This story was also published on the websites of the British periodic ... but it is the same lie

I'm starting to really believe we need a director of football or something along those lines, even small deals seem stressful for Everton. Hopefully it's all bollocks though, like those Bystrov rumours.

I actually thought the exact same thing the other day when I read something about Peter Kenyon. Basically everyone hates him and thinks he's the biggest slimeball around, even those with whom he has personal relationships, but he's widely respected as being very good at his job.

Really does seem that you can't get by in football these days without playing dirty. There's no advantage to ACTUALLY being honest, it's all about appearances and bullshitting. If you don't get involved in it, you simply lose out.

You go away for a few hours and it all goes tits up. Un-fcuking-believable.

<speechless>

Would'nt worry about that news mate, it is just media talk. I looked at Valencia's OS and they have announced nothing unlike us, the story is on our OS.
