That’s a great result for Uruguay keeping France from a bonus point win . France don’t have the strength in depth of the Boks , but then again who does, so not many positives for them but Lucu looks a talent who could step up if DuPont is injured or to rest him in other Pool games. Jaminet and Vincent too will provide good cover in the backs.

Called this live, was uneven handed. Have praised the refs so far, difficult to look past this one.

The yellow card offense was clearly cynical. Perhaps wales gotta away with rhe multiple penalties, but it wasn't egregious.

Ah come on mate , you saw what happened , Wales were streamrolling towards the try line and he brought the maul down , as clear a yellow as you’ll see on a rugby field, you don’t give warnings for that , it’s straight yellow. It was too far out to be a penalty try , but a few more yards and it likely would have been .

I think England can reach the final if they show the application they did against Argentina (and keep Ford at no 10) but odds are hardly generous. 7/2 in my local bookies.

Neither can I. I'm simply backing them to reach the final.

The reality of the loaded draw though means it’s highly likely France, ABs , SAfrica, Ireland will reach the 1/4 final and two of these will then be in two separate semi finals, therefore any team will need to beat one of them to reach the final.

I was seeing England odds of 10/1 the day before it started.

1 win and the odds are slashed.

Personally I thinks England chances are good to make the final (50/50 maybe) but not sure how well they'll be able to defend against the flair of France or even Ireland or the grind of the Saffers (who probably have the deepest squad depth)
