I don't have any particular axe to grind, but the pro Kirkby argument seems to be based much more on wishful thinking:
There will be lots more fans ... honest.
Big business will want to hire facilities there.
The transport will be just super duper.
Moyes will have six million extra a year to turn us into world beaters.
I can understand the Club giving it the hard sell ... what else could they do? And I can understand a few gullible, spotty 17 year olds believing it like gospel.
But, if you reallyknow your history then you know you cannot believe a single word that comes out of the Club unless you see the evidence with your own eyes. This has been true from the days of John Moores, and according to me dad, was also true in the twenties and thirties.
Noone can influence what happens now. If the move goes ahead, then a lot will be lost. I hope it's worth it, but allow me to say that anyone who doesn't actually work for the Club should be wise enough to hold their enthusiasm until it's a proven winner. You may end up looking very stupid indeed
