Regarding actual traffic control, they installed a few of these in our town and I will say that (as an American), Americans don't know how to enter and exit a roundabout.

Neither do a lot of Brits. The amount of people who don’t know to give way to their right is terrifying, especially on smaller roundabouts.
I hate drivers who don’t indicate when approaching a roundabout … they wait until they’re actually on it.
