I hope that is not true but if it was I would find that an insulting attempt at keeping an important and popular player. It would also re-awaken my sceptism as to the clubs resolve to significantly improve things on the pitch. Disappointing.

Have we established what it was all about? A Gobs... Red, an angry Blue, some melt associated with gangsters (and wtf is that all about - threatening him after his gf left for the gangster - what a fkd up world this is eh?). I thought seems to show that (soft lad) Barkley touched him on the chin a couple of times which might have been the cue for the other lad to lose it.. not sure I'd want some lad doing that to me - drunk or otherwise.

Apparently according to arl tweet tweet, lad who sparked him was a blue and Barkley's been slotting his bird. It started about 20 mins before that but got separated.

Barkley also apparently got up after.

I am going to believe arl tweet tweet and think Barkley is slotting left right and centre, everywhere but the pitch hahahaha.

Never understood why lads are mad at the other guy for slotting their bird. It's not like they're friends. It's your bird who's the sloot. Get mad at her.

Dave Downie has said he's been told he hasn't been offered one yet. That would tally with what Steve Walsh said yesterday about him signing a contract in the Summer.

Don't think we will miss him all that much, nice to have a local lad around but it's hardly paid dividends in a derby or big game when his passion for the club should inspire, instead he looks like a rabbit in the headlights at times. Think we can easily replace, look at the class of Snides since he came in, lots of players like that about if we wanna splash some dosh now. Want the lad to do well here but not a defining moment for us this.
