Barkley was much better today. Didn't try to overdo things, bagged an assist with Davies' goal. Hope he finds some consistency so we can quit bashing him after every other game.
Two assists. Both good quick passes showing football intelligence.

Have a word With yourself how can you not see how important he is too us without him we are so one dimensionalBetter over the last few games, Just don't think he will ever be good enough if we want to push for top 4

I've definitely noticed the past month he is trying to play a lot more through balls, that must be something Koeman has asked, and Rom looks happier too. Davies is also trying it too so I think it's something they are working on. Not all come off but It seems effective.

Agree and thought he played great today, delighted for him.Barkley has had more than a wobble on here recently with some of the comments expressed by posters in recent weeks - I said at the time it was unfair - from some I read calls to sell him. Really?
For me, today showed a maturity and no doubt the criticism in the Leicester game stung - today he tracked, tackled, dribbled and showed poise and intelligence to make some great assists. He had a prescence amongst a midfield that had Toure, Silva (& admittedly Zabaletta) and made a difference.
Not every pass found it's mark, especially in the first half and he was shattered at the end. But we need more balance in our judgement of how good he is and can be - stop the knee jerking that follows any defeat and equally pretending he is the perfect mix of Bally/Brace/Steven when we win.
A great individual performance today amongst a stellar team display - more of this Please. Made up for the lad.
