Thought he was good today and you could see him getting his confidence back with some great touches. He got a few assists but even apart from that, he was more involved and played players in a few times. I think this side with the likes of Gueye, Davies, McCarthy, Schneiderlin etc. in the team instead of Barry etc. he'll find it easier as there will be more movement within the side. He'll look much better.

Don't forget for every Ziadane there is a makalele or Deschamps, for every Iniesta there is a Busquets, Hazard a Matic or Kante. No one is going to look good consistently with alongside Barry at this stage in is career.

He continues to improve game to game under this manager. Outstanding second half today. He is beginning to show increasing signs of being the player we hoped he'd be . Looks like Koeman is the right manager for him.

Yup true that. Has seemed to give an extra 10% with the pace of Davies on the pitch last few games

I've definitely noticed the past month he is trying to play a lot more through balls, that must be something Koeman has asked, and Rom looks happier too. Davies is also trying it too so I think it's something they are working on. Not all come off but It seems effective.

Getting consistency in his game. Let's not forget he was statistically one of England's best midfielders going into the euros.

Alli gets all the plaudits because he seems to pop up in important moments. But in general Ross's general play is improving so hats of to the lad today. A mature performance.

He's always had that in him, the desire to look for the killer pass. There've been times when he's seemed to lack confidence in himself to do it, and often his final delivery has been lacking. Even today there were a couple of poorly misplaced attempts at through balls. I agree though, I think we are seeing an improvement, and that's been one of the keys to our recent good run. When Barkley plays well, Everton play well.

Barkley has had more than a wobble on here recently with some of the comments expressed by posters in recent weeks - I said at the time it was unfair - from some I read calls to sell him. Really?

For me, today showed a maturity and no doubt the criticism in the Leicester game stung - today he tracked, tackled, dribbled and showed poise and intelligence to make some great assists. He had a prescence amongst a midfield that had Toure, Silva (& admittedly Zabaletta) and made a difference.

Not every pass found it's mark, especially in the first half and he was shattered at the end. But we need more balance in our judgement of how good he is and can be - stop the knee jerking that follows any defeat and equally pretending he is the perfect mix of Bally/Brace/Steven when we win.

A great individual performance today amongst a stellar team display - more of this Please. Made up for the lad.

yeah, we have nobody in the squad who can do it naturally so maybe koeman has looked at barkley and said you're the closest i've got. But consecutive home league games now davies have threaded good balls perfectly to get the best out of lukaku. If he was at somewhere like arsenal or city he'd have an even more frightening goal ratio.

Agree and thought he played great today, delighted for him.

He seems to be fitter, which will only help his decision making. He does need to be more consistent but that will come with time, I have said it before that I think he is still learning and he plays in a difficult position so it may take time, but at his age his brain is still developing, so when people to say he has peaked I think that is wrong.

It is strange with Ross, it seems fans don't want to see him perform well and be straight out the team.
