I can't think of a team in the prem that would pay decent coin, and that he would fit into and improve by virtue of having better players round him.

Burnley, Hull etc, he's better than what they have, but he'd play no better there than here and they won't pony up the cash.

Spurs, Southampton etc, might pay up, but is he better than what they have already?

Absolutely stupid to even consider selling him ever since the day moyes left we have gone from a club whereby almost every player improved when they came here to a club whereby every player seems to get worse & doesnt improve.

Let's get the club back to an environment That engenders improvement from our players & see if he can do it before we cast him aside.

Look at lukaku too is he actually that much better than his loan season at West Brom.

I don't understand the logic behind people wanting to sell him ? I mean seriously, what is the actual point to it ? what good comes from selling him ? we need multiple players in his position, get rid of him and we need two. We don't need to sell to buy (presumably...) so there really is next to no benefit in selling him. It's pointless, the only reason i can see is to please people who are knee jerking, i doubt they could even give a logical reason to sell him at the moment... because quite frankly there isn't one.

There are far worse players in our squad who need to be shipped out first.

Barkley had always show on these flaws, he makes the wrong decision most of the time and he can't cope playing in front of a large crowd either. The free kick where he had to pass to Coleman was short and then over shot his cross. He to scared to tackle.

Not really true tbh, he makes the wrong decision far less than he makes the right decision it's just people focus on the bad because well... thats what people tend to do as it sticks in the memory more.

Disagree, he creates very very little in terms of chances. Always under or over hitting, or not hitting at all, the final pass

How many chances has he created so far this season. I don't mind him losing he ball but it then way he loses there ball with his mistimed passing is annoying. I'm not saying sell him but he struggling to be our main attackerror right now. Martinez was too flattering with him as he was with lukaku and stones.

2 more than David Silva, 4 more than Coutinho, 1 less than Ozil, 7 more than Pogba and 16 more than Mata !

I agree for the most part but he's really not that much worse at giving the ball away than other players and the stats back it up. Im not usually one to focus purely on stats either but when it comes to giving the ball away to the opposition it's one of the few things you really can judge via statistics.

I've still got huge faith in him. I believe the team eshould be built around him as out of all our players he has the tools to be our matchwinner week in week out. Get him in a number 8 playing deeper than he usually does, with two midfielders who can cover him if need be, and three flyers up top on the break i think that plays best to his strengths

There lies the problem though mate, he actually was that good, could he handle the pressure and attention that came because of it - well looks like he obviously can't.

Give him someone like a young Rooneys confidence and he would have been one of the best ever. Sadly think he will go down as one of the greatest ever what could have beens.

Lad needed the perfect manager who could have sorted his problems out and let his talent do the rest, but at 23 and with Koeman here the forseeable then it won't happen at Everton or maybe anywhere now...

Actually hate saying this but Klopp would have been the perfect manager for the lad out of ones around right now, look at what he's done with players with 50% the natural talent - got them believing in themselves and the team - not a perfect manager by a mile, but for certain players it isn't about having the best, it's about having the best for them.

Agreed. What he could have done with was someone other than the worst manager in Premier League history guiding him through his crucial development years between the ages of 19 and 23, someone that wouldn't have made him complacent by filling his head with tripe about how he doesn't need to work hard to be the best because he's already in a phenomenal incredible incredible moment.

Nothing probably because he doesnt have "it" in his head.

Solid premier league player. Nothing more.

Thats not always a bad thing by the way.

His brain is not as quick as his feet unfortunately. He would do well in Spain or Italy, where he would get more time on the ball. He's not really suited to the Premier League. You need the instant trick to buy you time. Someone like Hoddle or Le Tissier would be a good mentor for him.
