No he didn't. He had the Sunderland half and the Bournemouth game. He was decent to good in all the others, hence ALL the media saying he was in great form and Sam made a mistake dropping him.

Barkley is key to this teams progression, booing him and slating him on social media will not help simple.
Stop being an utter WUM you bad melt.
Is it 1998 again?
I don't mind the comparisons myself. Ultimately, it's just something to talk about. That Germany game was Gerrards first goal, and around his 4th cap, he was mainly sub from 20-22. Ross has played well and scored for England. He was stand out against Spain and Italy.
No way am I saying Ross will be better, we will have to wait and see. But what he has done, is comparable to those that Sky have listed him with.

I remember Gerrard's place in the England team seeming like a foregone conclusion, whereas Barkley looks more likely to go the way of either Lampard, who forced his way in a bit later on, or a Milner/Downing type, perennially thereabouts but never really first choice.
One thing I definitely don't agree with (apologies if it wasn't you who said it) is that he'd fare better at a bigger club. I would fully expect him to wilt in a team where replacing underperforming players is par for the course.
There is absolutely too much pressure and responsibility placed on him, but I think the blame for that lies with the club, not the fans.I think he is under more pressure because he is a blue.
He needs to think about it as being a job, and wanting to get better at that job, im not sure he can do that with us, and the stupid pressure and expectation fans put on him.
He needs to not care about the fans imo.
I work all Over the country &They wont show the bad stuff in highlights. Because that's all that was available really in 1993-1996, unless it was your own club and watched every game or it was a big cup game or final.
We all watched them.
Ross's highlights are superb.
Thought he was much more accomplished when fully fit. He was better than Stones as well, just not up to it physically in the end. What??!
Rodwell better than Barkley? In what way??

Speak to mostly to united, city, Stoke fans along with lower league teams.
They probably see only highlights of Barkley or when he plays against them.
The city fan is a season ticket holder & is utterly terrified of him & thinks he will be top class.
The united fans think he is top class as do the Stoke fans.
They actually hold him in too high an esteem & haven't picked up on his faults largely because they only watch highlights or see the goals.
Yep they say to me he should leave & come to us why do you boo him.Boom, this is my point.
And its what people/us used to all say about Scholes/Lampard/Gerrard, because we only seen highlights.
I work in Manchester and City/United fans love Ross, and think its funny how they see Blues treat Ross.

Don't care about the bold bit. Being a boyhood blue doesn't afford you some sort of diplomatic immunity.I hope we sell him for £10m and he goes on to win the Balon 'dor and shuts all you neanderthals right up.
Bit by bit you lot are pushing a boyhood blue out of the club.
