After his comments regarding about failed additions who we could have signed, then I expect measuring the club's ambitions is a huge part of it.
He wants to play CL football and there's nothing wrong with that, yet it's for us to convince him that it's possible here after two dire years.
If he (Rom) does eventually stay here and sign a contract then I'm sure they'll be some explicit promises regarding our overall direction.
That may in fact involve promises of signings! Perhaps not individual names but more about calibre. The same may be said with Ross to be fair.

Not sure rk said Ross hadn't been offered a contract. I would be very surprised if he hasn't at this stage. Maybe bill has a gosling style verbal agreement so no need to panicMaybe I read it wrong or way too optimistic, but RKs statement is the clearest indication that Ross will renew. He hasn't been offered a contract yet (according to RK) and the 'he's a kid of the club etc' is a huge positive.
He wants CL we want CL, can't think of anyone else I'd like to achieve it with. He's a blue, we're blues its in the stars.
I've had a few.
Not sure what the fuss is about, I would like Ross to stay but if he doesn't Rooney will play in that position and is wise enough to pick the right pass. We heard how devastating it was to lose Rooney, Rodwell, Fellaini, Stones... almost always we do better the season after they have left.
Just another position to fill. 11 players who want to be here are likely to do better things than say 7 who do and 4 who don't really want to be here but are more talented.
If he leaves Everton for another premier league side, he struggles. There's not many teams above us he's getting game time in.
Not convinced that's the case with Lukaku.
Still, the cynic in me suggests Barkley will sign a new deal very quickly after Rom scarpers.

It's not the case though is it? The club haven't offered him a deal.We know everyone wants cl footy but the point is we have a young Everton academy graduate who is harping on about it.
What exactly is he wanting Koeman to say, he's basically holding the club to ransom with his contract even though we probably cannot get cl in the next couple of years atleast.
He must not have much of a brain if he thinks he can be at a "top 6"and play his favoured position, you would think seen as he is a supposed Everton Fan that it should be a pretty clear decision if the contract terms are fair.
Possibly, but the main rags (and Drogba) have Lukaku off to Chelsea. He is very different to Costa and couldn't play that role expected of him. We are set up to benefit him totally, he is our main outlet. How many teams above us in the Prem would do that?
Maybe I'm being too literal, but 'It's always about the contract and we will offer him what is good, what is normal' says they haven't offered yet

Tbf, though, I dont think Barkley feels comfortable with Koeman. He's made him the centre of attention in the press and the lad does not want to be a matter of media discussion. His game is changing beyond recognition too.
I think he'll sign but it'll be like pulling teeth and Everton will have to hand him a package that makes sense.
Shush, don't let that secret out the bag - you never know who is reading lol
They have.
Another revised one will be offered.
Koeman hasn't been putting pressure on for weeks for no good reason.
