We dont. We have a player now shackled into a less expressive way of playing the game.

It's like putting a butterfly in a jar and leaving it there to die.

His expressive play was becoming dangerous to the team. He had to curb his style of play and be less wasteful and less dangerous to ourselves. He is better because he is a more all round player who now loses the ball so much less and has added positive things to his game such as tracking and defending more. Less of his jogging aimlessly around the pitch. We all miss his expressive play but it was getting him negative feedback from the crowd, press and England managers because of the high rate of losing possession. Well I think he is better now but it is very open to opinion.

Last season 8 goals and 7 assists. A better return than this season when he's been 'rounded out' as a team player.

Give me the old RB any day. The lad looks like he hates it at Everton to me.

But how many assists did Ross have for the opposition when losing the ball wrecklessly. He certainly put us on the back foot a lot more and maybe our goal against record this season is due to Koeman making the players play in a disciplined way.

Really not arsed if he leaves as long as we get a decent fee.

Take away his local lad stuff and he's not as good as people make and reduces are chances when attacking like against Liverpool.

Fair play to his cross to Rom against Leicester that was decent.

I don't care what statistics say. Barkley was crap last season and even worse the season before. He's got a lot to thank Koeman for in my opinion and despite his big improvement.he isn't good enough for the likes of Man City or Tottenham. He'll stay because he won't get a better offer

At this point, we don't know anything about the situation. If I had to guess, Barkley would sign a contract if he's offered enough money. It's hard to say how much money that would take. It's up to Everton to determine how much he's worth and how much they can get for selling him.

Personally, I feel like Barkley has a ton of potential but unfortunately he had stagnated for a long time. Recently his passing and decision making have significantly improved. However, his shot accuracy and general awareness still needs work. If he could convert a few of those long driving shots into goals, he would be in the driver's seat in these negotiations. As it is, I feel that Everton would be willing to let him go if he pushes too hard. We'll see.

I think that's inaccurate. Barkley had an atrocious 2016. He's started last season well, he's ending this season even better. But in the middle was really really poor.

I think it highlights the two management styles, Martinez ruined him and Koeman is rebuilding him. I think he's not been offered a contract yet because up until the end of 2016 Koeman wasn't convinced by him. It's no coincidence that given the excellent man management he's now received, he's in the form of his life.

I believe he'll sign.

If the old adage 'takes one to know one' is true then it's really worrying that you are saying this.
