No i think that was for the moment before that where he lost the ball with his first touch. The foul i thought came afterwards.

Hard to say when you only get 5 minutes on the field, but he looked a little un-insterested, but its as i said with 5 to go and the game over, no point trying to throw youself about.

One silver lining of Hodgson's treatment of Barkley (and Wilmots of Lukaku) is that it will likely keep them both appreciative of playing for us under Martinez. The contrast between being bollocked for even the slightest wrong move whilst on international break then praised for the good ones on your return must be quite dramatic.

there has to be something to be said about Ross, Luke Shaw and even stirling going back to the 21's. When bainsy is fit gibbs can cover for shaw, ross won't be missed by woy and even stirling looks off colour under the old idiot.

The biggest positive is there isn't another international game till March.

Roy was probably right not starting him in either game given his form but the minutes and treatment thereafter wasn't.

Defintely. Too much too soon can be too much pressure and for that reason some of the stuff that comes out of Bobby's mouth is also strange.

Unfortunately that won't happen till England play a decent team in a competitive game. Until then they'll flatter to deceive.
