£500,000 if United win the Premiership
£250,000 if United finish second in the Premiership
£150,000 if United win the FA Cup
£500,000 if Rooney earns 20 England caps in competitive games while a United player
£500,000 if Rooney plays a further 20 times for England in competitive games while a United player

Payment are valid untill 2009 at which time his five year innitial contract ends.

Everton have also negotiated a 25% 'sell-on' agreement, under which they would receive a quarter of any excess sum over all amounts paid in this agreement.

Thats interesting if United sold him now I wonder how much they could get for him.

We'll they've won the league so now we need 'em to win the Champions League and hello 1.5M !!!

That could help pay for a few players wage packets next season...

...or be the first year of a 20 year installment plan for Berbatov. :D

I was thinking more on the lines of putting towards Manny's fee

Transferring a player to Man U with a transfer on clause is pretty stupid, isn't it?

Since they're not a selling club, they will only sell him if he turns to crap. But then it would be 25% of nothing.

I'd rather get that extra money cashed in with no "fonny" clauses.

Look at Ronaldo, they're not selling him not even for a world record transfer.

We got a good deal for Rooney to be honest.

Are you serious? An average deal would be the best way to describe it. The money was paid in installments so it doesnt sit in our account building interest. We should have had at least £35 million for him in one lump sum, think of the interest on that!

Seeing as how he hasnt really improved that much since he left us and considering how much he'd go for now? £40m? £50M? Then you cant call our drip fed payments a good deal.

Scores an average of 20 goals a season, he'd never ever go for that much.
