The funny thing is that he can thank Niasse for winning at least two league games this season. If it wasn't for Niasse's heroics against Bournemouth, Koeman would have left here with just 1 league win to his name since August.
Yes, we could all do with another seemingly sensible person go maniacal while ridiculously defending the indefensible. You know what there's a notable lack of?
A davek-ish rabid Koeman defender going on a meltdown.
Disappointing really.
Was he responsible for the recruitment though? That's the Football Director's job.His sacking was inevitable and the right decision. I can't work out after a solid first season how he didn't seem to have the ability to build on it .The recruitment over the summer was horrendous leaving the squad totally unbalanced ,too many of the same type of player; no left back /left sided cb lack of pace in the wide areas and of course the lack of at least one centre forward. Koeman will of course get another job but for now his dream of managing a Barca or equivalent club are a lot further away than when he joined last year.

To be fair they've won one major trophy and they've only existed for more than 100 years. His hateboner for the RS does make me warm in the pants though.
Southampton fans giving it the big one is hilarious. And how long have they been in the PL, again?

His reputation is damaged. That is true. But not sure if EFC any better off. Whoever the new coach is, they have a very difficult job.
I really, really hope that TL was fully aware of that.Wasn't mine mate! It's a Times article.
I've no idea what's true or not but did seem weird Moshiri was there yesterday and 24 hours later he's gone.
Either the writing was on the wall or he wanted to see with his own eyes how bad it was before making a decision.
Alternatively, who's going to tell him that his services are no longer required.Fair argument I guess. I think it's important to have someone like Dunc who loves the club in there, though. Earned his stripes with the U18s as well.
Dave Prenno ... nail on head.
Life has replicated art at Goodison Park, with Koeman cast in the role of Cool Hand Luke.
The difference is that Paul Newman’s character boasted charisma and charm, while Koeman has been aloof, even arrogant - and he never once connected with the influential Everton support base.
For a man who always spoke openly, honestly and candidly at press conferences, he failed to communicate with the fans.
There was no sense of the style or pattern of play he was trying to implement.
There was no sense of the club’s rich and vibrant history; it was always “Everton” rather than “we”.
What odds now on Koeman's being appointed Leicester's manager before our game against them this weekend lol
I do have a bit of sympathy for Koeman. The failure to sign a replacement for Lukaku was what sunk his reign as Everton manager. If we had a proper striker to score the goals since August, then i think things could have been different for Koeman imo.
