I'm about 14 pages behind here but I couldn't care less what he does in his spare time twitter etc, he's just as entitled to use it as anyone, he knows he'll get crap off fans, he seems not to care good on him.

Why anyone cares about a tree is stupid ha ha, it's nothing to do with football. People care too much what other people are doing these days, no privacy any more like. Yet on the other hand people seem desperate for attention by putting their every move on social media.

I don't care what you had for tea mate, I just want you to score some fing goals at the weekend...

I just want better football on a Saturday (or whichever day it is playing). Rant over.

It is like relationships.

When one is constantly fighting with one's wife/husband, girl/boy friend or life partner over trivial things, there is something fundamentally wrong in the relationship which may or may not be fixable.
 

You know I have always believed that one of the things that set Everton fans and a small number of other clubs apart was a self awareness of our position. A state of mind that gave us a certain self deprecating sense of humour. Unlike the Geordies and the RS for instance who seem to fume at any imagined slight to their imagined status, acting like a bunch of precious flowers. Events over the past few weeks have disabused me of this opinion, a large number of our fans appear to be as humourless and quick to take offence as our unlovable neighbours.
Perhaps it's just the non scouse element in our fan base. Whatever ,it's becoming embarrassing.
