Ronald Koeman discussion

Even when he gets the formation wrong from the start he has often been bold on his subs, doing at least one at half time and by 60mins having all three on. He even hesitated on that today - subbing on Kev at 84 mins and Davies at 90, very little time for either to do much at all.
We easily win this game if Kev starts imo. Not because he is fantastic (albeit I rate him higher than others), but he is direct and can get down the field. Brighton struggled every time we ran at them with pace. This was an embarrassing result.

Tom Davies in front of Gana gives us pace and a midfielder who can get box to box so let's drop him for his crap signings in Snides!
gana was far far worse than snides today, and has no discipline at all, he can't be the deepest midfielder, and he is appalling on the ball so can't play further forward, our best performances last season were when he was away at the afcon, not a coincidence for me

That's it though Joe - Gueye goes off and the whole team just falls apart. Why can't our centre half play against one sodding side without being babysat the entire game? There's no one taking any responsibility - Oh apart from Rooney, and he's rewarded by the biggest teds ripping him one every week. What's that, 3 league goals in 8 games this season? Carries on at that rate he'll get 12-15 goals and that's a good return.
At the expense of 0 cohesion, our 45m signing playing in the same space, and nobody else getting a scoring chance.

He scored a penalty, but was again largely awful today.

He had two shots today talk me trough Snides game ??????
A fair few vital interceptions, didn't give the ball away about 50 times, run around like a moron constantly out of position, and have two crap potshots that actually broke down attacking moves and achieved nothing

did our best run of performances last season come without gana???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

He gave their goal away yet again he looks shot needs a spell in the under 23s under a decent manager in Unsy to put a rocket up his arsp!

Very legitimate reasons for getting shut now and losses in next two would make it inevitable.

But he's got previous throughout his career of really horrific spells during a season, which he usually turns around playing ugly, attritional football and given time I'd expect him to do same this season.

Realistically this season is a write off - 12/14th in league and early exit from cups. Not enough goals for any other outcome.

Fans expectations were too high. He's not and never will be a top manager, outdated philosophy and arrogant/dispassionate style mean he's never going to be popular with fans or having players running through brick walls for him.

So 100% understand calls for him to go, but maybe we should get through this season, hope some players start performing and review it properly in May.

That fact on its own screams we need shot ASAP and indeed that he should never have been headhunted so relentlessly by Moshiri in the first place.

What use is a manager whose only attribute appears to be the knack of digging his teams out of deep ruts on an apparently annual basis, deep ruts which his tactical buffoonery dug them into in the first place?

And regards your other point, I for one am not prepared to concede that this season is a “write off” with more than 75% of League fixtures remaining and with us still involved in three cup competitions.

Otherwise I might consider asking for a refund on my ST as I am sure my Saturday afternoons could be more enjoyably spent.

If we can beat Lyon this week we are very much back in the hunt in the EL.

And if Crystal Palace can beat Chelsea, having not previously even scored a goal this season, then we are not without a chance in the League Cup against them.

Of course, if we need your advice and soldier on with this chancer then your words will undoubtedly become a self fulfilling prophesy and we may as well write it off.

Bin the bugger.

Bin him now.

That way this might yet become more than another season of absolute tosh

It wasn't embarrassing.

The game vs Limassol was. As was the Burnley one.

This was just poor. Just the same old stagnant stuff and it's time for the pressure to be applied.

He should be gone, but he isn't. It has to be a case of win, or get sacked.

Apart from a few dutchies I've never seen much overwhelming support for the fat waffle eater, I'd say most of us were a bit bemused when moshiri had such a hard on for him, when he talked about bringing in a top class manager, second half of last season looked promising, but his fall out with Ross, losing and not replacing Rom and reverting to two Dm's has killed off any support for him at all. Was never popular here, even martinez had support from a minority towards the end, sack him and be done with it
