Ronald Koeman discussion

I have tried but I just can't warm to this bloke.

He is like a Dutch Owen Coyle embarrassing himself in full kit when training.

His personality is arrogant and bland too. I can't imagine players warm to him, bit like with Man Utd and Van Gaal. At least Van Gaal boasted an impressive managerial CV though.

Not sold - his 'style' of football is turgid too.

I am fed up with nearly men in charge of my club. I want a world class, big name manager right now. I salivate at the thought of Mauricio Pochettino or Jose Mourinho being here, with an actual plan and being able to actually attract good players.

Not the same ol cloggers we always seem to go for.

Soap, I've been trying to work out whose multi you are for ages. Sadly, we're no closer to figuring it out.

Surely that means I'm not a 'multi' then? I would have given my game away by now if I was a member that used to post here, no?

I am nice. I am not keen on Ronk. It doesn't mean I am any less of a blue.

You are, you slip up too many times mate not that I'm arsed.

The Dutch Owen Coyle was fairly genius in fairness. The symmetry of fruit shape head is not quite the same but I'll give you that one.

I've really tried, honest.

But I just can't warm to the guy.

He is hard to warm to but that's how he is. He doesn't give a damn if Everton sack him, we're just another step along the road for him.

However, he does want the best for himself and whilst that is bringing results for us I don't really mind. I like the way he takes absolutely no crap from the players; so many of them got away with murder under Martinez and I think it was important we had a strong dressing room presence to get us rid of that atmosphere in the dressing room.

You have too give him to the end of the season at least, managers before him got time one got 11years Martinez got 3 years give him a chance.
Yep, I think Martinez deserved three years. Think if Moyes got eleven yrs that was a bit harsh he wasnt that bad. Big Ron on a get out of jail free atm but jury is still out.

Positive press meating there.

Im glad to see Koeman back, with a very grounded attitude.
It make me much more relaxed, about the future.

However he could have been here, some days ago. I was worried sick.

Now i have my faith back.

He was probably nervous and being careful about the way he phrased things, given what's happened recently (failure to get a striker, rooney being grossly unprofessional amongst other things, our last performance was poor too) it was probably the one of the hardest press conference he's had to do since he's took over.

I'm sure most of us would have struggled to put a positive spin on the recent events, though I'm sure Mr Jedi Mind Tricks Phenomenal Man might have tried.

I think the hard part is the way he played Southampton when he saw the money on offer and then blamed them. No problem with making that choice but ultimately it means if he does poorly we will be unhappy, if he does well he'll look after himself (Arsenal)

Don't get too attached then, given that he's the sort of personality that his hard to warm to. At the end of the day it will all be determined by results, he's spent the money.
