Ronald Koeman discussion

That is what is most frustrating about today's performance (or lack of!) because they were nothing special in the slightest. We made it easy!

Taking away the shambolic display today and how low it can make us feel, for those saying they can't seen an improvement is laughable.

We've still got a long way to go, and one element of that is to be able to rid ourselves of this curse, but there's been many positives steps.
Their defence and midfield: I cant recall a worse combination of 7 outfield players assembling for them.

It was appalling we struggled against that rubbish.

8 of them played in last years game

It just goes around and around in circles this.

We really need to forget last year and concentrate on the present.

Martinez was a complete dud, there is no denying that, any suggestion otherwise is quite simply just picking pointless arguments.

Koeman has got it wrong a few times. Yes the defeat against Chelsea was awful, but by the same token he must be given massive credit for beating Man City 4-0.

If we get a result at old trafford mid week he will be a hero in most peoples eyes again bar a few usual posters. They aren't going to change their minds

People forget that this isn't the Liverpool of the 70s and 80s who were dominating the league, domestic cups and European competitions.

Nor is it the Liverpool side under Rafael which credit to him had the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano in their starting XI.

Lots of ifs and buts about lacking some of our more influential players, who may have played a pivotal part, but those on the pitch shied away.

They had their absentees too. Lallana is pivotal to them and Henderson is hopeless but seems to give them heart.

Us though: there's no excuse when Wolves are going there and handing them their arse. Imagine how much more proud Koeman would have been if they'd played like they did!

No perfect storm then?
